From 3 to 24 July, the world's best marathon runners will be coming once more to Europe's largest mountain pasture. The optimal altitude from 1.800 to 2.300 m leads the elite runners from Kenya, for the fourth time in a row, to the Alpe di Siusi. With two training sessions a day the runners prepare for the match season.
Among the stars there are also world's top ten marathon runners as James Kwambai and Martin Lel. Also marathon runners from the Chinese female team will join the 30 top athletes from Kenya in the training.
Running all (a)round: Starting off in Summer 2010 there is the Runnig Park, with its 180 kilometres and 20 signposted tracks. Eight tracks are on the Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm(1.800-2.200 m above sea level), twelve tracks are close to Castelrotto, Siusi, Fiè at the foot of the Sciliar mountain. You can choose between various tracks, for example the Paul Tegat Track (18 km) or the easy Beginners Run. Alpe di Siusi is the runner's paradise.
